Well I didn’t expect to hear this news late last night as I was walking in the door from work.

But 10 years after witnessing 9/11 through my dorm room window, we finally got Osama bin Laden and killed him.

I really never expected that to happen.

But how best to capture the news in headline form? Here’s New York’s take:

Not that I disagree with the sentiment, of course. Just wait until the actual Osama death photos are released or leaked… you know they will consider running those on the covers too.

Mets COO Jeff Wilpon and pitchers Mike Pelfrey, R.A. Dickey, Bobby Parnell, and Dillon Gee trained as firefighters at the FDNY Fire Academy training center on Randall’s Island on January 20.

Talk about battling some serious heat! The Mets players and C.O.O. strapped on firefighter gear to climb up FDNY ladders, battle a blaze, and rappel down the side of a building. Check it out:

Dinner at Cheeburger Cheeburger

The other night I had dinner at Cheeburger Cheeburger, a restaurant that let’s you create your own cheeseburgers and shakes.

Apparently, they’ve been around for 23 years, however only 2 of those in the New York area.

I ordered a cheddar cheeseburger with lettuce, onion, chopped garlic, artichoke hearts, and BBQ sauce. Delicious!

TBS is flying their Conan blimp over the MLB Postseason games to promote the launch of the new Conan O’Brien late night show on their channel on November 8th.

The bright orange color of the blimp is an ode to Conan’s signature orange-colored Irish hair, but the orange blimp thing has been done before:
