Finding Inspiration

Me at the lake.

Me at the lake.

I’ve been having a problem finding inspiration to write anything more than short Twitter updates lately. But it’s definitely not because I don’t have anything to say.

Far from it.

I’ve just been so involved time-wise in work that by the time I get home, I barely have enough energy to eat something,  watch television, and talk to Melissa before falling asleep on the couch.

And I don’t like it.

Something has to change… because I really enjoy sharing with you what’s going on in my life and what I’m thinking. And while I enjoy doing that as @citycynic on Twitter, tweets are just the headlines to the stories I want to tell.

So I’ve been looking for some inspiration to push through the lack of time to get myself to write here regularly.

And I think I’ve found it.

Or, rather, her. Its the same person who writes so detailed and intricately about her life on her blog. The one who got me to share my photography on Flickr. And the one who started a bicoastal baseball blog with me, for which I have yet to write (but am still honestly excited about).

You can read her writing (and get a glimpse into her soul) at Just One Miss.

I’ve been thinking about what inspired me to write before. And its always been about sharing my experiences in the hopes of helping or connecting with you out there.

Somewhere along the way and through the annoyances and duties of my day-to-day life, I forgot that.

And now that drive has been reawakened inside of me.

And I’m thankful.

So expect to hear more from me right here at CityCynic.com regularly. Continue to tune into the Twitter feed, too. But expect the same kind of writing you’ve seen right here over the past eleven years right here on this site.

I’m back and better than ever.

And I’m inspired. <#

You know Miss is my soul sister … my kid’s other mother … the girl I turn to for a laugh, a cry or a beer. She is one of the best people in my life. You have got an amazing girl and (even with the birds) I can tell she has a great guy!
